Owned and operated by Daniel Boruta, DVM, DACVAA, Tidal Veterinary Anesthesia, PLLC provides anesthesia and pain management services to veterinary practices throughout the Carolinas. Primarily serving Raleigh and eastern North Carolina.
Dr. Boruta is a board-certified veterinary anesthesiologist that has spent the last decade working in both academic and private practice settings. He provides anesthesia services at veterinary practices in eastern North Carolina and South Carolina.
He is native of Michigan and received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Michigan State University where he also earned two undergraduate degrees in Zoology and Animal Science. Dr. Boruta then completed a veterinary anesthesiology residency at the University of Pennsylvania and has been a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia since 2013.
Dr. Boruta also served as an assistant professor of veterinary anesthesiology at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts for nearly three years. As assistant professor he oversaw laboratory experiences for students, developed and presented classroom lectures, and completed various academic research. Dr. Boruta has presented continuing education courses throughout the United States at various veterinary conferences and independent practices.
Dr. Boruta has experience working in small animal anesthesiology in various emergency, specialty and private veterinary practices. He enjoys advanced anesthesia and pain management, including the use of locoregional techniques such as nerve blocks to minimize the amount of pain medication required to keep a pet comfortable after a surgical procedure.
He is licensed in North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida. Dr. Boruta understands that anesthesia is stressful for all animal owners and he enjoys working with clients to understand and address any concerns regarding anesthesia for their pet.
In his spare time, Dr. Boruta enjoys fishing, surfing or just hanging out at the beach.
